Tuesday, June 2, Reciclad’OR returned to Iași for a new workshop dedicated to the application of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). The event was organized by Fiterman Pharma, and the session was delivered by Marius Brînzea, Strategy Director at Reciclad’OR.

Only 79 days left until August 12. This is not a dramatic line for a newsletter. It is an operational reality that our partner companies have been working with for months. Regulation (EU) 2025/40 — PPWR — becomes applicable with its first concrete obligations on 12 August 2026.

On May 9th 2026, the Studio Hall of the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași hosted one of the longest‑running piano performance competitions for children and young people in Romania: the National Instrumental Performance Competition – Piano “Ofrandă Sunetului”. Reciclad’OR was an official partner of this event — and not by coincidence.

The European Commission publishes the first comprehensive report on the implementation of the SUP (Single‑Use Plastics) Directive, analyzing the data reported by Member States for the year 2022.

Europe is accelerating the transition to a circular economy, and pressure on producers is increasing with the new PPWR requirements on minimum recycled plastic content. While many Member States are still adjusting their legislation, France is introducing a mechanism that changes the rules of the game: the Recycled Plastic Incorporation Bonus (IMPR).

On April 22, 2026, Reciclad’OR was invited to deliver the workshop “Circularity & Circular Economy – From Theory to Practice” as part of Zero Harm Week, Siemens Energy’s initiative dedicated to health, safety and environmental protection.
