RO-Wine | The International Wine Festival of Romania!
RO-Wine starts!
Reciclad`OR participates in the only festival dedicated to premium and superpremium wines, which returns with an anniversary edition! Fratelli will host the RO-Wine festival on 18-19 September. The place where HoReCa entrepreneurs, professionals and wine lovers can interact with winery owners.
Five years after the first edition, RO-Wine will bring together 92 producers, 7 importers and the stand of one of the biggest players on the online wine market, FineStore.ro. They will present to the public over 500 labels from 12 countries. All wines available for tasting will also be available for purchase at the festival shop.
As in previous editions, access for professionals from the horeca market and – owners, sommeliers, bartenders, representatives – is free on both days, provided they register in advance on the festival website.
Those who want to delve deeper into the mysteries of wine will get answers to age-old questions during the masterclasses hosted on Saturday and Sunday. Robert Joseph, founder of Wine International magazine and the International Wine Challenge competitions will discuss why you might pay more for a wine. While WSET3 educator Imre Szakacs-Ohra will unravel the mysteries of ‘guessing’ the variety, age and provenance of wines.
The Open Romanian Wine program, initiated by Carrefour Romania, brings Romanian grape varieties to the fore, through the voice of Marella Ardelean. At the same time, the stand offers an overview of the “Exclusively at Carrefour” labels, produced in collaboration with renowned Romanian wineries.
RO-Wine will also feature 26 wineries from the Wine of Moldova portfolio, with a rigorous selection of premium wines, such as Gitana Winery, Castel Mimi, Cricova, Gogu Winery, Equinox and many others. All of these can be tasted in the dedicated Wine of Moldova lounge.

At each edition, we have tried to invent new things, to bring new challenges, to bring surprising additions to the company of wine… And about this edition, which comes after a long break, we thought it would be more difficult to organize. Much to the surprise of many of us, things have settled down much more smoothly than expected. Producers, partners, even the guests we are looking forward to. They have all fed us with their enthusiasm, their eagerness, their confidence in the return of better times for the whole wine world. And for that I want to thank them, they made all our efforts to have a special edition come easier, they gave us energy and confidence” says Marinela Ardelean, co-organiser of the festival.

For this edition, together with Reciclad`OR, we are organising a series of empowerment activities among participants to encourage them to pay more attention to environmental protection, recycling, waste reduction and guidance towards eco-friendly alternatives.
Marinela Ardelean is a wine and spirits expert, professional taster in international wine competitions, Global Brand Ambassador Brâncoveanu Vinars, Carrefour consultant and author of five books dedicated to Romanian wines. Marinela is also the initiator of the project “The Wine Book of Romania”, the first bilingual guide in Romania and Moldova.
Liviu and Mihai Popescu, co-owners of Fratelli Grup, have been recognized for more than 20 years for developing the most prestigious projects in the HoReCa field.
Liviu Popescu, co-owner of Fratelli Grup, is a promoter of high standards in the hospitality industry. In 2016, he founded LP Hospitality Consulting, through which he shares his experience with those passionate about this field.
Mihai Popescu, winner of numerous international design awards, is also the author of the Fratelli Group location concepts. Through his studio, Twins Studio. He participates in the beautification of the Horeca market in Romania and abroad, with a vast portfolio of works bearing his signature.
