For responsible companies, adding value to their society through CSR projects is a sign of maturity and, of course, expresses a concern for sustainable development. By getting involved in the lives of citizens and communities, companies become more visible and their reputation grows. Over time, as their social involvement grows, they become an example to local businesses, customers, employees and citizens. Quite simply, people will buy into the mission of that company. B2B customers prefer to partner, in particular, with companies running visible CSR projects. In this way, networks are formed between different entities representing companies, institutions, organisations, individuals, who take on a mission of sustainable development of the society they are part of.

This is also the vision of Reciclad’OR. Established in 2017, as a natural consequence of long-standing activities in the field of environmental protection, the company has made significant investments, which have propelled it into the top hierarchy of organizations specializing in the implementation of extended producer responsibility obligations for packaged products in Romania.

One of the company’s most important departments is CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Reciclad’OR has participated in over 25 successful information and awareness campaigns during 2020, including CIRCULAR 7 – Achieving Recycling Targets, World Environment Day through “Move and Recycle”, Webinar – Harmonising Legislation on Extended Producer Responsibility, Can Art & Design Festival – national project, The Earth Hour, Little Bikers Parade, #StopPollution!#StartRecycling!

Strategic partnerships for environmental protection

Through partnerships with relevant ministries, municipalities, inter-community development associations, non-governmental environment, educational institutions, Reciclad’OR has created an optimal strategic network for the implementation of CSR activities to improve social life in the long term. Thus, more than 2,150,000 citizens have benefited from informational support to raise awareness of the importance of practicing ECO-responsible behaviour.

The environment we live in is the main resource for us and future generations. So caring for the environment means investing in our future and that of future generations.

Business events and conferences on environmental issues

On strategic environmental projects, almost our entire lives and, increasingly, the lives of generations to come depend. We, the Reciclad’OR team, believe that Romania must become one of the top 10 eco-responsible European countries in the coming years.

 In local business events and campaigns, Reciclad’OR had over 200,000 participants. It basically redefined how companies can participate in a concrete way to protect the environment. It is possible to be successful in business and at the same time demonstrate in a practical way, through concrete actions, that we care about the health of the environment and the well-being of future generations!
Among the online and offline conferences on Waste Management we mention:

  • CIRCULAR 7 – Achieving recycling targets;
  • Harmonisation of legislation on extended producer liability;
  • SIATD, the first steps in ensuring traceability of packaging waste;
  • Food industry producers.

Awareness actions

Children have a special role to play in promoting environmental education as they can influence the attitudes of parents and other members of the community towards environmental issues. Young people need to understand that their attitude to the environment will influence the future of the planet. They need to know that they can take action now to ensure that plastic pollution is reduced or even eliminated completely in the future.

Among the reference projects are:

Understanding the importance of citizen involvement in the packaging waste collection process, in the atypical context of the 2020 pandemic, we have developed over 25 Information and Awareness Campaigns.

The common objective of these campaigns was to develop an appropriate daily behaviour of citizens towards separate collection and recycling of packaging waste.

Results:

  • Over 2,150,000 citizens informed and educated
  • 200,000 participants in awareness and information campaigns
  • 1,000,000 social media signals Facebook, Instagram, Youtube
  • 750,000 participants in online and offline conferences and events
  • Over 1,150 articles and media publications
  • 200,000 participants at online and offline business conferences

Permanent care for the community.
Concrete results: 2,150,000 informed and educated citizens.
