SIATD, the first steps in ensuring the traceability of packaging waste. Online event dedicated to collectors and recyclers
On September 15, the Administration of the Environmental Fund launched the IT system for waste traceability (SIATD), in order to monitor and verify transactions with packaging waste in the extended liability system of the producer.
The SIATD application, the use of which will become mandatory from 1 January 2021, is used by organisations implementing extended producer responsibility (OIREP) and by legal entities that manage packaging waste whose net costs and / or collection costs / capitalisation / sorting / reporting are funded by OIREP.
It is obvious that the implementation of the application will influence the activity of a considerable number of economic operators, but it is necessary to know how this will happen.
Therefore, together with Green Report, we invite you to a new conference in the Circular Waste series dedicated to the implementation and use of the application – SIATD, the first steps in ensuring the traceability of packaging waste. Event dedicated to collectors and recyclers.
Along with the representatives of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests and the Administration of the Environment Fund, the debate will be attended by members of RecicladʻOR and representatives of the manufacturing and recycling industry. Together with the invited speakers we want to come up with answers related to the main challenges generated by the use of the new system:
- What are the objectives pursued by implementing this application?
- What are the pros and cons of the application?
- How can the information be entered into the system if the application does not work?
- What will be the impact on OIREP’s activities?
- Will there be a change in the legislation on traceability documents with the implementation of this system?
- Who has access to track transactions?
SIATD online conference, the first steps in ensuring the traceability of packaging waste. The event dedicated to collectors and recyclers will take place on Wednesday, October 28, starting at 10:00, and will be broadcast live both on our Facebook page and on our website.
