Reciclad’OR, Double Finalist at Sustainability in Business Forum & Awards 2026

On October 13, at InterContinental Athénée Palace Bucharest, the Reciclad’OR ecosystem made the finalist list twice at the 7th Sustainability in Business Forum & Awards. The event was organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest and Sustainability Today and broadcast live.

We made the final with Reciclad’OR, in the Sustainability Frontrunner in the Industry category, and with Yvora, the PPWR compliance app developed by CIRCULAD’OR with advisory support from Reciclad’OR, in the Circular Economy Innovation of the Year category.

1. Reciclad’OR S.A., finalist for “Sustainability Frontrunner in the Industry”

We competed alongside Auchan Romania, BAT Investment, Blue Technology, Carbon Expert, CHEP Romania, Continental Anvelope Romania, L’Oréal Romania, Nicelium, PORR Construct and Tenaris Silcotub.

For us, the nomination confirms a journey that began in 2017, when we were authorized by the Ministry of Environment. Today, more than 1,300 partner companies meet their extended producer responsibility obligations for packaging through Reciclad’OR.

2. Yvora, finalist for “Circular Economy Innovation of the Year”

Yvora is the PPWR app developed by CIRCULAD’OR, with technical and legal advisory support from Reciclad’OR.

Yvora puts a packaging item’s entire PPWR file in one app:

• the packaging data sheet and its estimated recyclability grade;
• Technical Documentation (Annex VII), generated automatically from the data sheet;
• the Declaration of Conformity (Annex VIII), issued in minutes;
• archives linked to each packaging code, with the legal retention period calculated automatically;
• a PPWR consultant included in the subscription.

Results so far: more than 500 packaging codes documented, 5 minutes from packaging data sheet to Declaration of Conformity, and 75% less time spent managing PPWR data.

The other nominees in this category were Auchan Retail Romania (A New Life), L’Oréal Romania (#JoinTheRefillMovement), Nicelium, PORR Construct (D.A.N.U.B.E Giurgiu Port), ROMBAT (Battery Recycling & Closed-Loop Battery Project) and TRANSAVIA (From Grain to Fork and Bowl).

3. Compliance and circularity go hand in hand

PPWR moves the packaging conversation from reporting to design, reuse and recycled content. Our two nominations at the Sustainability in Business Awards reflect that balance: a solid OIREP for today’s obligations and compliance tools for the requirements ahead.
