31 Awarded Companies at the 2024 Piața Awards Gala
At the 19th edition of the Piața Awards Gala, 31 companies from retail, logistics, and suppliers were designated winners for their projects. The 54 trophies at stake were awarded through a voting process coordinated by ISRA Center, the specialized partner of the Piața Awards since the 2010 edition. The voting process managed by ISRA Center took place from October 1 to 18.
Votes cast by 566 electors representing retail operators and consumer goods suppliers designated 31 companies that won one or more trophies. Three of these companies—online retailer Sezamo, proximity retailer Froo Retail Romania, and Eisberg Romania—received a Piața trophy for the first time.
The Grand Prize for Best Merchant was awarded to Kaufland Romania, with 25.5% of the valid votes cast by electors. This marks the fifth consecutive edition of the Piața Awards in which Kaufland wins the Grand Prize for merchants. Kaufland Romania also won the award for the Best Environmental or Circular Economy Program of a Retailer with the project “Recycling Week,” the award for the Best Loyalty Initiative with the project “Blue Basket,” and the second place award for Best Store in Romania for the Kaufland Barbu Văcărescu location.
The Grand Prize for Best Supplier this year was won by Unilever SCE with 24.9% of the votes, following a very close competition. The Unilever team was also awarded the third prize for Best Partner, the award for the Strongest Brand in Personal Care Products for the Dove brand, and the award for the Strongest Brand in Home Cleaning and Care Products for the Domestos brand.
Coca-Cola HBC Romania won four trophies, while dm drogerie markt and Procter & Gamble each won three trophies. Retailers Carrefour Romania, Metro Romania, and Rewe Romania won two awards each, while among suppliers, Ursus Breweries, Mondelez International, Farmec, and Lactalis Romania were designated winners twice.
