Tens of thousands of people at the INIMO charity festival. Good deeds for 10,228 hearts
For three days, the “Emil Alexandrescu” stadium in Iasi was stormed by tens of thousands of people of all ages, who responded to the invitation to have fun and do good deeds. The INIMO Festival, initiated by Father Dan Damaschin and the “Voice of Life” Association, brought together the most beloved Romanian artists, theatre activities and interactive workshops for children with the aim of raising funds to give a chance to education to 10,228 children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
INIMO, the festival of family, life and good deeds
INIMO Family Fest aimed to unite, around 10,228 children’s hearts, the energy of all Romanians who value family and believe that the well-being of a family should be an absolute priority of a healthy society.
Tens of thousands of people responded to the initiative, especially since access to one day of the festival was allowed on the basis of a donation of at least 50 lei, the money raised will be used by Father Damaschin, through the Association “Voice of Life”, to purchase backpacks, school supplies, clothing, shoes, sanitary and hygiene products for 10,228 needy children in Iasi county.
Thus, the festival participants were able to enjoy three days of fun, good music and educational activities for children, but most of all they did a good deed and showed their own children that giving to others, who are more in need, is actually the greatest joy you can give to yourself.
Many of the most appreciated artists of the moment, such as Smiley, Andra, Ștefan Bănică, Connect-R, Feli or Iuliana Beregoi, but also big bands such as Taxi, Direcția 5, Vunk or The Motans, as well as well-known popular music singers – Mioara Velicu, Laura Lavric or Gelu Voicu – have performed on the stage of the biggest charity festival. The festival was completed by performances by Damian Drăghici & Brothers, the Chisinau State Circus, the Zurli Band and the famous Chetriș Fanfare.
Educational workshops for the whole family
The INIMO Festival included many artistic moments for all ages and tastes. Attendees also had the opportunity to take part in circus and theatre performances by local actors, as well as interact at food, health, financial and environmental education stands.
RecicladʹOR, a leader in the local market of packaging recycling take-back and green partner of many family and children events, taught the little ones how to protect the planet by inviting them to take part in eco-friendly activities.
The youngest participants of the INIMO festival were thus the most important audience: they learned the value and importance of “giving”, they enjoyed artistic moments and activities designed especially for them and they learned that, through their attitude towards the environment, they can influence the future of the Planet.
At the end of the first edition of the INIMO charity festival, Father Damaschin thanked everyone for their involvement and especially for the donations that will help thousands of children to really enjoy school.
“We broke record after record at the first INIMO festival. As you know, the money raised from the event will be used to prepare 10,228 children for school. Tens of thousands of people were at the Copou stadium. Admission was based on donations and we managed to raise the necessary funds for more than half of the little ones,” said Father Damaschin.
The list of children who still need help, as well as the accounts where donations can be made, is published on the website and Facebook page of Father Damaschin and the “Voice of Life” Association.
Through the association he founded, Father Dan Damaschin has built in recent years 138 houses for needy families, 3 boarding schools for children who are eminent but without possibilities and 5 centres for mothers in difficult situations. In addition, more than 1600 children have seen the sea for the first time with the help of the “Voice of Life” Association.
