Sustainability & CSR Excellence: Reciclad’OR – Services Dedicated to CSRD and PPWR
By continuously adapting its services to the increasingly complex EU legislative requirements, Reciclad’OR has become a strategic partner within the sustainability ecosystem through:
• a proactive and strategic role, ensured by the provision of integrated services that help reduce environmental impact and optimise resource management;
• involvement throughout the entire product life cycle, promoting the circular economy through educational programs and technical support;
• transparency and rigorous reporting, using advanced traceability and audit systems that ensure compliance and highlight the impact of implemented activities;
• collaboration at the European level to enhance adaptability to regulatory requirements and develop innovative solutions for packaging and packaging waste management.
From dedicated circular economy programs to themed workshops on sustainability reporting (CSRD) and packaging compliance with the requirements of the European Packaging Regulation (PPWR).
Reciclad’OR’s first successful experience in circular economy and sustainability training took place between 2021–2024 and included specialised circular economy trainings attended by over 450 participants from more than 200 companies.
In light of the sustainability reporting requirements under the CSRD Directive and the legal requirements on packaging introduced by the recently adopted EU Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR), Reciclad’OR launched in January 2024 two extremely valuable workshops.
Preparing the resources and expertise needed to support these workshops—which involve highly complex legal and technical knowledge—took more than two years. Reciclad’OR’s Strategy Department has been monitoring the CSRD adoption process since 2021 and the drafting and adoption process of the PPWR since 2022.
PPWR Workshop – Reciclad’OR
The monthly PPWR Workshop is an excellent opportunity for all companies that want to navigate the complexity of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) with confidence and ease.
This workshop is designed to offer a clear and practical perspective, helping participants deeply understand the regulation’s requirements and providing a structured overview of the relevant aspects and their implications for packaging and business models.
Structure of the PPWR Workshop
• Overview of the EU Regulation and the 2025–2026 roadmap, including uncertainties around delegated and implementing acts;
• Detailed explanation of all measures (reuse, recycled plastic content, packaging recyclability – Design for Recycling, restrictions on certain packaging formats, online sales, packaging reduction per capita, etc.);
• Impact analysis for each measure, with a focus on identifying applicable obligations, setting realistic implementation deadlines, and evaluating financial and logistical implications;
• Packaging portfolio assessment and identification of viable compliance strategies;
• Case study and presentation of best practices;
• Interactive Q&A sessions for each measure covered.
CSRD Workshop – Reciclad’OR
The CSRD Workshop helps companies understand the requirements of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the practical steps to fulfil their reporting obligations.
Given that EU Directive 794/2025 proposes a two-year delay for certain companies, and the OMNIBUS package includes proposals to simplify reporting, reduce its frequency, and protect small and medium-sized enterprises from excessive information requests from larger companies in the value chain or financial institutions, the monthly CSRD Workshop organised by Reciclad’OR becomes extremely valuable for all companies operating on the national market.
Structure of the CSRD Workshop
• Presentation of the key elements of the CSRD Directive – applicability and specific reporting requirements (including the proposed amendments from the OMNIBUS package);
• Explanation of the ESRS Standards – from topics and subtopics to the 1,300+ data points;
• Step-by-step breakdown of the Sustainability Report development process – from team preparation, process governance, double materiality assessment, data collection and auditing, to report publication;
• Introduction to useful tools and applications that support the reporting process;
• Case studies from the practical experience (2024–2025) of the consultancy firm Circulad’OR.
