Reciclad’OR awarded at the Capital Gala – Performers of the Year 2021

The Reciclad`OR company received the special award “Performance for a sustainable future!” and the nomination of CEO Diana Cîtu in the Manager of the Year 2021 category at the Capital Awards Gala – Performers of the Year 2021, which took place yesterday, February 22, 2022, at the Face Convention Center.

As every year, Capital Magazine recognizes and awards the merits of personalities who through vision, determination and performance are benchmarks for our society and who manage to achieve remarkable results, whether they are part of economic, business, political, social, environmental, medical, sports or media life in Romania.

The event was attended by numerous personalities from the world of politics, business, TV stars, influencers and artists. Among them were Marcel Ciolacu, President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mayor of Craiova Lia Olguța Vasilescu, TV producers Marius Tucă, Victor Ciutacu, Răzvan Dumitrescu, Iuliana Tudor, Dani Oțil and Răzvan Simion, the great sportswoman Elisabeta Lipă (President of the Romanian Rowing Federation), fencer Ana Maria Brânză-Popescu, Codin Maticiuc (Metropolis Philanthropic Foundation), Dr. Mirela Neamțu (Hospice Casa Speranței), Samuel Negoiescu (Hope for Romania Association), Prof. Dr. Mircea Gorgan (Medical Director of “Bagdasar-Arseni” Emergency Hospital), Dr. Adrian Marinescu (Medical Director of “Matei Balș” Institute), Prof. Dr. Cătălin Cîrstoiu (Manager of Bucharest University Emergency Hospital), Dr. Sebastian Voinea, (Head Physician of the Fundeni Centre for Urological Surgery and Renal Transplantation), Dr. Gabriel Diaconu (Medical Director of MindCare Clinic), businessmen Ștefan Vuza (President of Chimcomplex Borzești), Cristian Erbașu (Construcții Erbașu), Gruia Stoica (Grampet) and Adriana Cristea (Arc Parc Dej).

The Capital editorial staff selected 10 categories and for each of them nominated 5 representatives who had notable results in 2021. The categories considered were: Politician of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Builder of the Year, Manager of the Year, TV Producer of the Year, Athlete of the Year, TV Star of the Year, CSR Campaign of the Year, Doctor of the Year and Public Administrator of the Year, with the winners being decided by the votes of Capital readers.

Capital has also produced a sub-catalogue called Special Awards, with four companies from different industries selected based on their performance in 2021.

The publication awarded the special prize “Performance for a sustainable future!” to Reciclad`OR for outstanding projects and results in 2021. 

RECICLADʹOR – leader on the domestic market of the transfer of responsibility for packaging recycling, has revolutionized the recycling and circular economy market in Romania, being the only OIREP to launch a unique service in Romania, the Circular Economy Consulting Service, as well as the first Circular Economy Training for companies. So far, Reciclad`OR has successfully processed over one million tons of non-hazardous waste, in relation with responsible producers, and through the CSR campaigns carried out, over 3 million participants have benefited from informational support to raise awareness of the importance of practicing ECO-responsible behaviours.

This award honours us and forces us to be more responsible. Only together can we save the environment from degradation and leave a legacy of clean air and unpolluted nature to our children and future generations.
