Over 150,000 people attended the second edition of the SAGA Festival
The second edition of SAGA Festival took place at the National Arena in Bucharest this weekend: 03 – 05 June 2022. More than 150,000 people were present at the country’s biggest stadium to listen to the music of some of the world’s most famous DJs.
According to the organisers, spectators from 85 countries attended SAGA over the weekend and had fun with their favourite artists.
Marshmello, Salvatore Ganacci, Tiesto, DJ Snake, Afrojack, Deadmau5, Timmy Trumpet, Fedde Le Grand, Black Coffee, Fisher, Meduza, Oxia, Hot Since 82 and Sickick are just some of the artists who took to the SAGA stages and delighted the audience with their special shows.
Purle Disco Machine, Acraze, Camelphat, Da Tweekaz, Honey Dijon, Dom Dolla, John Summit and Riton came to Romania for the first time.
Famous Romanian artists and DJs such as Guess Who, Spike, Mitză, CTC, Dutu Persic, Sandy Rivera, Christian Thomson and many others were present on the Switch, by Reciclad`OR! sustainable stage.
Reciclad`OR, sustainable partner of the festival has developed together with the partners Rematholding, Romwaste, Let`s Do It!Romania!, WWF – SAGA GOES GREEN of the festival also at this edition.
Immediately after the end of the festival the days for SAGA 2023 were announced: 23-25 June!

Over 5,000 people worked on a record-breaking scene
For the smooth running of the event at the National Arena, a huge stage was built, 40 metres high and 150 metres wide. For the first time in Romania, the stage had 1,500 square meters of 4.8 mm pixel pitch LEDs and 4k resolution, static and intelligent lights. More than 90 truckloads of equipment arrived from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Poland and Hungary, and every day almost 5,000 people worked to make this unique event in Romania, which festival-goers from 85 countries were eagerly awaiting. Over 1,000 tonnes of scaffolding and grids, 200 kilometres of cables and over 800 speakers are just some of the elements that made up the second SAGA.
