Sustainability will become , in a short time , a requirement for most of the companies from Romania , regardless of the order of size . Many are just at the beginning of the road, and the challenges are numerous . The round table organized by Capital and InfoFinancial on this topic came up in the support of them , presenting a series of sustainable business models.
Capital and InfoFinanciar organized the “Sustainable business models” round table on Tuesday, April 16. The event, dedicated to the way in which sustainability is approached in Romania by both large local and multinational companies, but also by IMMs, brought together representatives of the private sector, public authorities, as well as associations involved in this field..
During the event, the issue of sustainability was analyzed and debated from several perspectives. That of the support measures that the state already offers. But also those that the private environment feels it needs. Incentives that should be provided to facilitate adoption were also supported by official representatives. But also the penalties provided for by the European nomatives.
The complementary approach of this concept, still new for many companies, although ESG reporting will soon become the norm for IMM-s as well, outlined an overview of what sustainability means in Romania at the level of 2024. But it also promoted a series of models of good practice that can be replicated. At the same time, the round table “Sustainable business models” highlighted some concrete directions of action through which sustainability can be translated into concrete.
