30 Companies Awarded at the PIAȚA Awards Gala, 2025 Edition

This year’s edition of the Piața Awards Gala, held on November 20, marked two decades of recognizing performance in Romania’s FMCG industry. Considered one of the most relevant events for the fast-moving consumer goods market, the gala brought together leading companies, industry professionals and initiatives that shape the sector’s development direction.

Reciclad’OR once again partnered with the gala, strengthening a long-standing collaboration with Revista Piața. The company’s involvement reflects a shared vision focused on sustainability, responsibility and the modernization of business models in FMCG. The organizers delivered an impeccable evening dedicated to promoting performance, innovation and responsibility—three essential pillars for the industry’s evolution.

Reciclad’OR congratulates FMCG companies for their ongoing commitment to delivering quality products and services, as well as for their continuous efforts toward sustainability: optimizing business models, eco-design of packaging, recycling and consumer education.

At the 20th edition of the Piața Awards Gala, 30 companies from retail, logistics and among suppliers were rewarded for their performances and projects. The 54 trophies awarded were determined through a voting process coordinated by ISRA Center, the Piața Awards’ specialist partner since 2010.

In total, 573 representatives of suppliers and retailers voted on the submitted entries, designating 30 winning companies out of approximately 100 participants. The voting process, managed by ISRA, recorded a participation rate of over 60% of the 937 invited voters—a level that ensures credible and valid results for awarding the 54 trophies, as well as for establishing the Top 4 most-voted entries. Overall, 160 projects reached this final stage.

Among this edition’s laureates were two companies receiving their first PIAȚA distinction. SQB Robotics won 3rd Prize in the retail innovation category for its automated and robotized store project, which was also recognized by this year’s Retail Club. DRIM Daniel received 3rd Prize for the most modern distribution and logistics services.

The Grand Prize for Best Retailer went this year to Kaufland Romania, which secured 56.2% of the valid votes. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Kaufland has won this distinction. Kaufland Romania also received:

  • the award for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program (the În stare de bine project),

  • the award for Best Environmental or Circular Economy Program by a Retailer (the Mini Urban Forests project),

  • 1st Prize for Best Store in Romania (Kaufland Barbu Văcărescu),

  • 1st Prize for Best Loyalty Initiative (the campaign “Your favorite store is your good neighbor”).

The Grand Prize for Best Supplier was won by Ursus Breweries, with 31.2% of the votes. The company also received 3rd Prize for Best Partner, the award for Strongest Brand in the alcoholic beverages category (the Ursus brand) and the award for Best New Product in the non-alcoholic beverages category for Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% Alcohol Limone di Sicilia and Arancia Rossa.

Awards presented by Reciclad’OR

During the anniversary edition, Reciclad’OR representatives—Denise Deleanu (COO) and Marius Brînzea (Strategy Director)—presented two important trophies:

  • “Best Environmental or Circular Economy Program” – Transavia, for achieving a remarkable 99% waste recovery rate.

  • “Best Environmental or Circular Economy Program” in the retail category – Kaufland Romania, for the Mini Urban Forests project.

Both awards highlight real and measurable contributions to sustainability, recognized by the jury and the entire FMCG community.
