Reciclad`OR received the Excellence in Sustainability Award for educating the business environment for sustainability

Initiatives with the greatest impact, projects that have differentiated themselves through originality and results, deserving people with a wide range of work covering sensitive points in the area of sustainability and sustainable development. They were the winners of the Sustainability Excellence Awards Gala, held during RESET TARGETS 2023, the 5th edition of the Sustainability & CSR Excellence conferences.

Sustainability Excellence Awards Gala 2023 – 10 trophies awarded to deserving companies, projects, NGOs and individuals

This edition of Sustainability & CSR Excellence was dedicated to education, even though at the RESET TARGETS conference we discussed and learned valuable information from several areas of sustainability. But when it comes to educating the business environment for the transition to a sustainable economy, the insights from inside companies in the consumer goods industry showed a clear leader. Reciclad`OR received the Excellence in Sustainability Award for educating the business environment for sustainability.

“Thank you! I’d like to give an award too. For years, these Sustainability & CSR Excellence Conferences have been gathering the best sustainability people from all over Romania. They spend their days and nights concerned with sustainability. We learn from each other, we have different views on business models, but our efforts are common and lead in the same direction. Let me congratulate all tonight’s award winners and not take this award on behalf of Recyclad`OR, because the award belongs to all our partners. What I did not say during the conference is that not only did the trainees learn from us about business models and packaging models, we equally learned from them.”

Marius Brînzea, Recycling Strategy Director

The PIAȚA team also awarded the following prizes at the Gala:

  • The Sustainability Excellence Award for the installation of refill stations for detergents is awarded to dm drogerie markt – a project that educates consumers to return the original packaging and refill it, thereby reducing the amount of plastic used for packaging.
  • The Award for Excellence in Sustainability for the concept and implementation of the Return Guarantee System – RGS was awarded to the Executive Director of the Brewers Association of Romania, Julia Leferman.
  • The Award for Excellence in Sustainability for the concept and implementation of the Return Guarantee System – RGS is awarded to the President of ANBR, Alice Nichita.
  • Sustainability Excellence Award to Kaufland Romania for achieving ZERO WASTE certification for the company’s operations.
  • The Excellence in Sustainability Award for the issuance of carbon footprint reduction certifications by partnerships was won by CHEP Romania.
  • The Award for Excellence in Sustainability for the educational impact of the “Swap PET for a ticket” project goes to the NGO Act for Tomorrow.
  • The Award for Excellence in Sustainability for supporting rural producers through the Suflet de România project was awarded to Profi Rom Food.

“We really appreciate this award and are glad that what we are trying to do is not going unnoticed. Profi is a Romanian company and it is normal that here, at home, we do everything we can to support as much as possible that category of small producers who, without support, could disappear. This project has inspired many producers and I hope it will be an example for other companies to adopt and expand it.”

Gabriel Pâslaru, PR Manager, Profi Rom Food

  • The Award for Excellence in Sustainability was awarded to Upfield Romania for transparency by publishing the carbon footprint on product labels.
  • The Award for Excellence in Sustainability for the design of nature relaxation areas equipped with separate packaging collection equipment was awarded to the Ciucaș brand and Ursus Breweries.

An impressive number of partners were present at RESET TARGETS – Sustainability & CSR Excellence, with the desire to publicly debate options and solutions for optimising sustainable processes and solutions for education: Kaufland Romania, Ursus Breweries, Tchibo through the Davidoff brand, Profi, Nestle Romania, dm-drogerie markt, Reciclad`OR, Penny, Coca-Cola System in Romania as Sparkling Partner, Mondelez Romania, CHEP, Unilever, Raiffeisen Bank, Toneli, Domeniul Bogdan and TexTech.
