On May 31, the heart of the fun will be in the west side of town! On Drumul Taberei Boulevard, we’re swapping cars for bicycles at the 10th edition of the West Side Kids Race – Little Cyclists Parade. Together with your family and friends, ride, recycle, and have fun from Valea Ialomiței Street to Valea Argeșului Street. This 10th edition event is organized by Go4Fun, Road Grand Tour, and Reciclad’OR, with support from District 6 City Hall and promoted by Bucharest FM.
We’re celebrating not one, but three important days:

And we’re inviting everyone to embrace a healthy lifestyle through sports, recycling, and caring for the environment.
This event is dedicated to all children who love bicycles and the freedom they offer.
Where? Drumul Taberei Boulevard, between Valea Argeșului Street and Valea Ialomiței Street – near Constantin Brâncuși Metro Station
When? Saturday, May 31st | 09:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The goal of the Little Cyclists Parade is to promote safe cycling among children, starting from a very young age. The event aims to teach young riders the rules of riding both solo and in groups, in a safe, relaxed, and cheerful setting—free from car traffic.
Once again, this year’s event will take place in the west side! Whether riding big or small bikes, with or without pedals, with or without training wheels, kids will ride and recycle at the Little Cyclists Parade and the West Side Kids Race—a friendly competition offering an exciting cycling experience on age-appropriate routes.
From toddlers to teens (up to age 14), all kids are welcome to pedal, enjoy quality time, recycle, and compete safely, while also enjoying surprises from the organizers.
09:00 – 12:00: Little Cyclists Parade – Activities & Participation Kit Pick-up
In the morning, kids are invited by Go4Fun & Road Grand Tour KIDS to pick up their participation kit near the starting area by Constantin Brâncuși Metro. Then they can enjoy various challenges and games specially designed for them, taking place along Drumul Taberei Boulevard (between Valea Argeșului and Valea Ialomiței). It’s not a race, just a relaxed ride with fellow young cyclists.
Skill-based activities will be adapted to each age group and include:

Group riding with rules for safe cycling

Weaving through cones while obeying road signs

Agility contests, traffic education workshops, and cycling demos

Creative recycling games by Reciclad’OR & Remat Holding
Our friends from Bucharest FM will join us with live broadcasts between 8:00 and 12:00, launching the parade and encouraging kids to become radio stars for a day!
What’s your bike’s name? If it were a superhero, what would its power be? What would you change in Bucharest for cyclists? What do you wish your bike would say when you ride it? And… what was your funniest fall?
All these fun questions (and many smiles) will be part of the live special show from the event!
And to make things even better, Bucharest FM is organizing a raffle with prizes perfect for young readers. Ride, play, speak into the mic—and you might go home with an adventure book!
As always, at 11:30 AM, we’ll all gather for the Little Cyclists Parade, a 30-minute group ride. After that, we get ready to race!
12:30 – 16:30: West Side Kids Race
Road Grand Tour KIDS & Go4Fun will organize 11 cycling races for six age categories between 2 and 14 years, using routes tailored to each group and aligned with Romanian Cycling Federation rules.

We invite you to join this two-wheeled adventure with over 2,000 children and adults expected to attend. We recommend using public transport to get to the event. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, bicycles are allowed on the metro all day.
