It is possible that this application, like any other application will not work from the very beginning in optimal parameters. Such a situation could make it difficult to deliver packaging waste to final recyclers, as well as provide information on the quantities reported by economic operators between OIREPs, “said Vlad Birău, Acquisitions Director, Reciclad’OR, at the conference” SIATD , the first steps in ensuring the traceability of packaging waste ”.

„As the leader of the responsibility transfer market, RecicladʻOR has fulfilled all its recycling objectives, concluding partnerships with over 240 economic collection / recycling operators in the country. The high-performance IT systems, implemented at the company level, allowed us an efficient surveillance of traceability on each type of contracted packaging waste. Equally, our computer systems have allowed our partners to view the entire circuit in real time.

Despite the experience we have with information systems, regarding the SIADT application, it is difficult for us to estimate the impact of its implementation,

but we will certainly see during its use. In our opinion, we consider it necessary to organise working groups in which to participate all those targeted by this application, given that, in addition to the impact on data management will have an economic impact. Maybe, it would be a solution for the year 2021 to be one of transition so that the entire activity of taking responsibility for recycling takes place in the best conditions “, added Vlad Birău.

He pointed out that in the testing process certain problems were identified, but he believes that through dialogue with all those involved, the risks that may arise in the implementation of the application, can be identified in advance and removed. Equally, solutions to maximise the opportunities generated by using this application can be identified.

In addition, Ancuța Vlăsceanu, Recyclad’OR Traceability Manager, drew attention to the fact that the SIADT application could be overloaded, taking into account the large number of collectors operating on the national market.
