Starting with October 2020, Reciclad’OR SA is part of the international alliance for waste prevention – “PREVENT Waste Alliance”.

Founded in May 2019 in Germany, PREVENT Waste Alliance brings together over 150 organisations from the private sector, academia, civil society and public institutions. Among the members of the alliance we list:

  • Coca Cola GmbH, Danone GS (Switzerland, Germany, Austria), Nestle SA, Total – manufacturers of packaged products;
  • German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, German Environmental Agency – public institutions;
  • RWTH Aachen Water and Waste Management Research Institute, Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, Energy, Dresden Technical University – academia;
  • Der Grune Pünkt, Landbel Group, Reclay Systems GmbH – organisations taking responsibility for packaging recycling;

As a platform for international cooperation, the PREVENT Waste Alliance connects all stakeholders along value chains by bringing together different perspectives and finding technical solutions to reduce and prevent waste and achieve a circular economy.

The strategy director of Reciclad’OR will work, together with other experts from all around the world, in two working groups: “Conserving resources” and the “Closing packaging circles” group. In the working group “Conserving resources” the emphasis will be on conserving resources, developing best practices for plastic recycling and increasing the use of recycled plastics in new products, and in the working group “Closing packaging circles” the emphasis will be on awareness on the value of packaging materials and establishing an efficient material cycle.

All the acquired expertise as well as the good practices identified at international level will be communicated constantly and equidistantly to all Reciclad’OR customers. In this way, our clients will be constantly informed about existing trends at the international level so that their business can successfully adapt to the challenges of the circular economy.
