This is not a dramatic line for a newsletter. It is an operational reality that our partner companies have been working with for months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regulation (EU) 2025\/40 \u2014 PPWR \u2014 becomes applicable with its first concrete obligations on 12 August 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not through national transposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not through additional ministerial decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through its direct entry into force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From that date, any company placing packaging on the EU market \u2014 regardless of size, sector or country of origin \u2014 operates under a new legal framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. PPWR is not about packaging. It is about control.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, companies are not evaluated by how many articles of the regulation they know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are evaluated by how much control they have over their own supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who knows what enters the factory?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who knows what leaves it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who can prove it tomorrow morning?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PPWR does not ask \u201cwhat have you read?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It asks \u201cwhat can you prove?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Most companies are not behind technically. They are behind culturally.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our workshops \u2014 offered exclusively to Reciclad\u2019OR partners \u2014 we see the same pattern:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem is not lack of information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem is the reflex to postpone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ll see in June.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re waiting for the supplier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s not urgent yet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But PPWR does not behave like a project with a deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It behaves like a mirror: it shows how fast your organization can react when pressure increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in 2026, pressure comes from the market as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Documents are mandatory. But trust is what makes the difference.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PPWR requires \u2014 unequivocally \u2014 documents: evidence, declarations, traceability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is non\u2011negotiable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 12 August, the absence of these documents means non\u2011compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But alongside the legal obligation, something essential has changed: the way you are perceived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the past year, across all industries, we\u2019ve seen the same shift: pressure no longer comes only from inspections, but from the expectations of partners, clients, and corporate groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No one asks \u201cwhat article did you read?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They ask \u201chow fast can you prove what you claim?\u201d \u2014 with documents, processes, and clear decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company that responds promptly signals maturity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company that hesitates signals uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company that stays silent signals risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Documents are the foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But in 2026, how you get them and how fast you can put them on the table becomes a test of credibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And credibility today is more volatile than plastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. August 12 is not a date. It is a filter.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 12 August, PPWR becomes mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not interpretable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not negotiable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not \u201cwe\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But beyond the legal obligation, 12 August acts as a filter: it separates companies that understand the pace of the market from those that still treat change as an administrative exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In August, the world does not change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only the way the world looks at you changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prepared companies will look professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unprepared companies will look negligent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the difference will not show in documents, but in boardroom conversations, in negotiations, in how partners reply to your emails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PPWR is a legal obligation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the way you react to it becomes a test of credibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
